This course is intended to refresh knowledge and understanding of the key elements of electrical safety and safe working procedures specific to electrical working.

This course is designed for all relevant employees as a minimum requirement. Where an agreed local course that meets or exceeds this requirement is available, the local course may be undertaken as an alternative.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
•    State the dangers of electricity and identify hazards
•    Identify the correct PPE to be used when working on or around electrical equipment; identify measures for protection against shock
•    Identify correct test equipment for testing and measuring on an electrical system
•    Use appropriate test equipment to prove isolation in a safe manner
•    Demonstrate the isolation of an electrical panel using recognized companies’ procedures and approved lock-off devices
