Introduction to Personal Protective Equipment
This course is designed to help meet the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations and an employer’s duties concerning the provision and use of PPE in the workplace.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the range and uses of PPE items available.
- Explain the correct use, maintenance, and storage of PPE.
- Explain the importance of reporting defective or damaged items of PPE.
- Outline the benefits and limitations of PPE.
In this course, you’ll learn about various types of personal protective equipment (PPE), how PPE is used to control hazards, and the responsibility we all have to stay safe at work.
